Types of Shielded Doors

A shielded room blocks radio wave interference. The key parameter for measuring material penetration is permeability—higher permeability means better shielding effectiveness. The doors and windows of a shielded room significantly impact its shielding performance. There are three common types of shielded doors:

  1. Automatic Shielded Door: Driven by an electric motor, it uses a worm gear mechanism to open and close the door. Compared to hydraulic or pneumatic systems, it offers better stability, lower noise, and no pollution. The door frame can be fitted with combination locks, IC card locks, or integrated with various electronic access controls.

  2. Pneumatic Sliding Sash Door: Features multiple control functions, lightweight operation, and reliable performance. Ideal for spaces where swing doors are impractical, such as in welding or assembly areas. Offers both automatic and manual operation modes, anti-pinch safety features, and an electrical control system with customizable, high-reliability logic sequences.

  3. Electric Locking Shielded Door: Provides high and stable shielding effectiveness, though the door operation can be heavier. Uses a full-pedal (rack and pinion) drive system powered by an electric motor. The motor drives a reduction mechanism to convert rotational motion into linear reciprocating motion via a rack and pinion, which then actuates the locking/unlocking mechanism through a cam or slope mechanism to open or close the door.
